Textbooks are the most common and obvious form of material support for the language instruction.

Puppets are valuable educational tools. Puppets are both entertaining and captivating. They can stimulate children’s imagination, encourage creative play and discovery and are a wonderful interactive way to introduce instructional material since "puppets are one step away from being human and so there is a distance but at the same time we can identify with them" Dr Lynne Jones.
